Support for Ukrainians
Over the last two months Shypple has supported many Ukrainians who wanted to make the move to Rotterdam. With the situation constantly evolving, we have now decided to focus our limited resources on the support that would be most beneficial to Ukrainians. From the responses to the application, it is clear that many applicants have found some form of short-term housing in the Netherlands, as well as transportation towards the Netherlands. In addition, efforts by the government of the Netherlands means that our offers for help with Visa’s and work permits are no longer as urgent or required. Therefore, Shypple’s support project will from here on out focus on those things we have seen a lot of requests for by our applicants:
Support for those seeking jobs in the Netherlands:
We are currently working with several recruitment agencies to put those who apply through our application system in contact with different companies and job openings. We are also constantly collecting information on the newest job-seeking initiatives to provide to those looking job.
We are working with two recruiting partners, Blooming People and SENSE Recruitment. If you submit your application and your CV, their recruiters might reach out to you personally with an introductory call or email, or with a possible position to apply for.
Office space for remote work:
We are currently exploring the possibility of providing office space in Rotterdam for those Ukrainians currently working remotely. This space would make it easier for those in a new environment to do their work effectively. We will keep you updated as this project progresses.
Support for the construction of long-term housing:
After conferring with the Rotterdam municipality on the housing that is currently available , Shypple has elected to put its support towards a long-term housing project for Ukrainians. This housing will provide a long-term option for Ukrainians who are still unable to return to Ukraine. This housing will be a project under control of the municipality and Movement On The Ground. This NGO focuses on providing refugees with shelter that allows them to receive education, get involved in the community around them, and get back on their feet. As this project will be also supported and managed by the municipality, Shypple will not retain control of the residents of this new housing. Rather, the housing will go to those Ukrainians most in need.
As previously mentioned, some items will no longer be offered by Shypple. These are items and support options that we no longer see an urgent requirement for in Rotterdam
Short-term Housing:
Currently there is housing available for Ukrainians in Rotterdam. New arrivals should seek out the following website: https://www.rotterdam.nl/wonen-leven/vluchtelingen-oekraine/Here, the municipality offers support for new arrivals in both English and Ukrainian.
Transport:
We have experienced that there was a very limited added benefit of Shypple providing transport within the Netherlands to those refugees not already in Rotterdam. We hope that everyone who is still looking to make the journey uses the free transport possible with a Ukrainian passport.
Company permits:
As of this moment have not received any requests to help with this topic. We have therefore decided to no longer offer this support. =
Visa/Employment Permits:
The government of the Netherlands has decided to wave both the visa and the work permit requirements for Ukrainian refugees. This means that companies will find it much easier to hire Ukrainian refugees. Aside from a BSN, which you will receive if you follow the proper steps of reporting to the municipality as mentioned above, there are no further hurdles to jump through. There are still some requirements for companies looking to hire refugees, but this will be arranged by any company interested in hiring you.

Підтримка українців:
За останніх два місяці Shypple підтримав багатьох українців, що хотіли переїхати до Роттердаму. Оскільки ситуація постійно розвивається, ми вирішили зосередити свої обмежені ресурси на підтримці, яка буде найбільш корисною для українців. Із відповідей на форму заявки стає зрозуміло, що багато заявників знайшли певну форму короткострокового житла в Нідерландах, а також транспортування до Нідерландів. Крім того, зусилля уряду Нідерландів означають, що наші пропозиції щодо допомоги з отриманням віз та дозволами на роботу більше не є такими терміновими чи необхідними. Тому проект підтримки Shypple з цього моменту зосереджуватиметься на тих речах, про які ми бачимо багато запитів від наших заявників:
Підтримка для тих, хто шукає роботу в Нідерландах:
Наразі ми співпрацюємо з кількома кадровими агентствами, щоб познайомити тих, хто подає документи через нашу систему подачі заявок, із різними компаніями та вакансіями. Ми також постійно збираємо інформацію про новітні ініціативи щодо пошуку роботи, щоб надати її потребуючим.
Офісне приміщення для віддаленої роботи:
Зараз ми вивчаємо можливість надання офісного приміщення в Роттердамі для українців, які наразі працюють дистанційно. Цей простір полегшить виконання роботи тим, хто перебуває в новому середовищі. Ми будемо тримати вас в курсі розвитку цього проекту.
Підтримка будівництва довгострокового житла:
Після переговорів з муніципалітетом Роттердаму щодо житла, яке наразі є, Shypple вирішила підтримати проект довгострокового житла для українців. Це житло стане довгостроковим варіантом для українців, які ще не можуть повернутися в Україну. Цей проект буде під контролем муніципалітету та Movement On The Ground. Ця неурядова організація зосереджується на забезпеченні біженців притулком, який дає їм змогу отримати освіту, долучитися до громади навколо них і знову стати на ноги. Оскільки цей проект також підтримуватиметься та керуватиметься муніципалітетом, Shypple не матиме контролю над мешканцями цього нового житла. Швидше за все, житло дістанеться найбільш потребуючим українцям.
Як згадувалося раніше, Shypple більше не пропонуватиме деякі опції. Це опції підтримки, в яких ми більше не бачимо термінової потреби в Роттердамі.

Дозволи компанії:
На даний момент не надходило жодних запитів на допомогу з цією темою. Тому ми вирішили більше не надавати цю підтримку.
Віза/Дозволи на працевлаштування:
Уряд Нідерландів вирішив скасувати вимоги щодо отримання візи та дозволу на роботу для українських біженців. Це означає, що компаніям буде набагато легше наймати українських біженців. Окрім BSN (який ви отримаєте за дотримання належних кроків щодо звітування до муніципалітету, як зазначено вище), немає жодних додаткових перешкод, через які можна перескочити. Існують певні вимоги до компаній, які хочуть наймати біженців, проте ці вимоги будуть вирішені будь-якою компанією, що зацікавлена у найманні Вас.
