Your role as Accounts Payable Specialist

You will ensure the accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices in our operational administration, working closely with our team to streamline supplier payments. Additionally, you will be responsible for checking and handling supplier statements and maintaining contact with both local and international suppliers.

Regular activities

  • Responsible for the timely processing and approval of incoming purchase invoices in the operational administration;
  • Responsible for payments to our suppliers;
  • Checking and paying supplier statements;
  • Maintaining contact with Dutch and foreign suppliers via email and phone;
  • Managing bank and credit card bookings;
  • Frequent contact with colleagues from our procurement and operations teams regarding supplier issues;
  • Assisting with month-end closing;
  • Having the opportunity to work on process improvements.

Job requirements

We ask

  • MBO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field;
  • At least 3+ years of experience in financial administration, specifically in accounts payable - experience in freight forwarding is a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Availability for at least 4 days per week; fewer days may be discussed;
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
